Ingredients
-
3 family size tea bags
12 Sweet-n-Low packets
1/2 c. sugar
water
Directions
Makes a gallon.
Put about a 1 c. to 1 1/2 c. of water in a pan. Place on the stove and bring to a boil. Place the tea bags in the boiling water. Cover with a lid and turn off the stove. Let the tea sit and steep for about 5-10 min. While the tea is sitting in the hot water/steeping, tear each of the 12 packets of sweetener and pour into a gallon jug or container. Then add in the sugar. Now, take out the tea bags with tongs or two spoons. Pour the tea into the container. Stir the concentrated tea until the sweetener and sugar dissolve ( 1-2 min.) Now, add in the cool tap water till the jug reaches 1 gallon. Stir. Set in refrigerator to cool before serving.
To speed up the cooling time, I put in 2/3 gallon of water and put in 4-6 cups of ice cubes to fill up to the gallon mark,
