Ingredients

    1 C. Unsweetened Applesauce
    2 C. Sugar (or 1 C. sugar, 1 C. Splenda)
    3 C. Flour
    1 Tsp. Nutmeg
    .5 Tsp. Ginger
    .5 Tsp. Cloves
    2 Tsp. Cinnamon
    1 Tsp. Allspice
    2 Tsp. Baking Soda
    2 C. Pumpkin or 1 (16 oz.) can
    4 Eggs (or egg beaters)

Directions

Combine all ingredients. Put into greased bread pans. Bake for 1 hour, or until toothpick inserted in middle, comes out clean.

Makes 3 loaves of bread

    Fantastic. I made this with 1.5 C sugar, used eggbeaters, used 1/2 whole wheat flour and added 3/4 C mini chocolate chips. I gave the breads as gifts and recieved rave reviews. - 12/11/08

  • love it. Using real allspice makes a difference and add a teaspoon of salt. That's what's missing in the recipe! - 11/5/10
