Ingredients

    3/4 cup white
    3/4 cup whole wheat flour
    1 1/4 cup sugar
    1/4 tsp nutmeg
    1/2 tsp cinnamon
    1 tsp salt
    1 tsp baking soda
    1/2 tsp baking powder
    1 extra large egg
    2/3 cup unsweetened applesauce
    2 Tbsp ground flax meal
    1 cup mashed bananas
    1 1/2 cup rolled oats (oatmeal)

Directions

Mix together all ingredients, adding oatmeal last. Drop by tablespoonfuls onto a greased baking sheet and bake at 375*F for 15 minutes or until golden. These are fluffy and have great banana flavor. Make a great breakfast cookie!

    I'm sure wheat germ would be a nice alternative. It just adds text and a little extra nutrition.
