Introduction

minus the marsala wine, just using broth... served over rice. I will be trying this tonight! minus the marsala wine, just using broth... served over rice. I will be trying this tonight!
Number of Servings: 4

Ingredients

    1lb extra firm tofu
    1 small onion
    1 clove garlic
    12oz package of fresh mushrooms
    1 1/2 cups broth
    1 1/4 tbsp flour
    1 1/4 tbsp olivio
    oregano, parsley, thyme, basil
    salt and pepper to taste

Directions

~set the tofu on a cutting board in the sink and put a weight on it to press the liquid out of it as much as possible while you are doing the other prep.
~dice the onion and crush the garlic... saute and set aside.
~slice the mushrooms and saute... set aside too.
~cut the tofu into 1/2" steaks of 1" cubes... saute until lt brown.
~make a roux with the flour and olivo and then add the broth.
~combine it all in the pan and simmer covered for 20-30 minutes.
serve over 1/2 cup of rice
serves 4
