Ingredients

    2 cups whole wheat flour
    1 tablespoon (3 teaspoons) baking powder
    1/2 teaspoon salt
    6 teaspoons (6 packets) Splenda

    2 cups milk (I used soy milk but you can use any kind of milk)
    2 large eggs (substitute egg whites if you wish)
    6 tablespoons canola oil
    1 teaspoon vanilla (or almond) extract

Directions

Combine all ingredients in a large mixing bowl and mix until well blended and smooth. Let batter sit 5 minutes before using. Preheat your waffle maker per instructions. Pour a scant 1/2 cup batter onto the center of the lower grid; spread evenly, cook according to the instructions on your waffle maker.
