Ingredients

    Six fresh peaches
    Ready-made single pie crust
    .75 cup granulated sugar
    .25 tsp nutmeg
    2 tbsp butter

Directions

Preheat oven to 450 degrees
Peel, pit and slice peaches
Cream together sugar, softened butter and nutmeg
Add flour and mix to a mealy consistency
Place peach slices in the ready-made crust
Cover the pie with flour/sugar/butter mixture
Bake for ten minutes
Reduce oven temperature to 350 degrees
Continue to bake for 30 more minutes
Remove and let cool on a wire rack.
Makes eight servings

    Thanks! This was excellent flavor, simple to prepare, and a good way to cut fat content. My teenagers said that it was awful and volunteered to clean it up for us. LOL - 8/11/10

    The only reason I am not giving this a higher rating is because it was SO watery. The peaches were swimming in liquid and my pie crust was mush. I'll try it again and perhaps toss the peaches with non flavored jellotin before I put it in the pie crust to bake. I added cinnamon and crushed walnuts - 8/26/11

    Great Pie, Just the right amount of sweetness. because we like spice I added cinnamon, allspice, ginger, and nutmeg and a tiny bit of clove, was really good. - 9/12/10
