Introduction

This recipe has been passed down from my grandma. My mom made some modern adjustments to the original. I made some of my own as well. The varieties of beans can be eliminated or changed per your tastes and the quantity you want to make. All cans of beans should be drained except the baked beans. Ingredients

    8 (or more) slices of ready cooked bacon, crisped and crumbled
    2 med. onions, diced
    1 lb. lean ground beef, browned and drained
    1 28 oz. can Bush's baked beans
    1 16 oz. can red kidney beans, drained
    1 16 oz. can butter beans, drained
    1 16 oz. can garbanzo beans, drained
    1 16 oz. can navy beans, drained
    1 16 oz. can northern beans, drained
    1 1/2 c. brown sugar
    1 c. ketchup
    2 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. dry mustard
    1/2-3/4 c. vinegar (to taste)
    1 16 oz. can pinto beans

Directions

Drain all the beans except the baked beans. Microwave or fry in skillet the bacon. Brown the ground beef and the onions in the bacon fat. Drain the ground beef.

Add the cans of beans.

Mix the brown sugar, ketchup, salt, mustard, and vinegar together. Add to the bean mixture. Stir to combine.

Pour all ingredients in a large pan or roaster at 350 degrees for approx. 1 hour.

Another option is to combine all ingredients in the slow cooker and cook on low for 6 hours.

Makes 20-30 servings depending on size: 1/2 - 1 cup.
