Introduction

Combine a ripe banana with the traditional flavors of hummus for something delicious and unique. Combine a ripe banana with the traditional flavors of hummus for something delicious and unique.

Ingredients

    - ripe banana, mashed
    - 1 can garbanzo beans, drained and rinsed
    - 1 T tahini
    - 1 T garlic, minced, dried, or powdered
    - 1 T lemon juice
    - 0.5 tsp cinnamon
    - 0.25 tsp each cumin and chili powder
    - a dash each of ground cloves, ginger, and nutmeg
    - water as needed

Directions

Place all of the ingredients in a blender or food processor. Blend until smooth, adding water and stirring as needed.

Makes about 12 servings (1 serving = 2 T).
