Ingredients

Raspberries, 20 pints or enough to fill a dutch oven
water, 4 cups or enough to come up 1/3 of the way up the pot
lemon juice, about a 1/4 cup or more if you want your drink lemony
sugar 1 cup or to taste

Directions

Cook raspberries, or other berries with the water and the lemon juice until they are a very soft mass. Drain through cheese cloth or a fine mesh sieve over a large bowel for 2 hours undisturbed. Don't let the bottom of the sieve touch the liquid. Transfer into a large pot and add sugar to taste cook but do not boil for 20 mins. If you can this it will get a dark richer red, but is quite bright when reconsttitued. Freezing is good to and doesn't alter the color. Mix 50/50 with water or sprite or club soda. mmm
