Introduction

I think it's pretty tasty, for such a low-fat dessert, but it is a bit dense. I calculated my whole loaf to be at 1370 calories using the nutrition labels on each ingredient. I cannot seem to find anything other than white flour here in Germany though... would have liked to use it. I used 1% milk but will try it next time with fat free. I splurged for the whole egg, because I had already substituted sugar with Spenda and oil with applesauce. Any suggestions for improvement are welcome, I'm a novice at baking! Ingredients

    2C (300g) flour
    1C Splenda
    1 Tbsp (10 g) baking powder
    1/2 Tsp salt
    2 over-ripe bananas
    1/3C (80ml) milk
    1/4C (65g) sweetened applesauce
    1 medium egg

Directions

Combine flour, Splenda, baking powder, and salt in a large mixing bowl. Mash up bananas and add to flour mixture. Add milk, applesauce, and egg... mix until dry ingredients are moist. Spray a loaf pan with non-stick cooking spray and add mixture (it should be gummy). Bake for one hour on 350 degrees or until an inserted toothpick comes out clean.
