Ingredients



    * *Lean Ground Sirloin 10% Fat, 16 oz
    * Green Peppers (bell peppers), 0.5 cup, chopped
    * Onions, raw, 1 cup, chopped
    * Portabella Mushrooms, 100 grams
    * Instant, Quick, and Regular Oats Cereal, 1 cup, dry, yields
    * Tomato Sauce, 1 cup
    * Egg substitute, liquid (Egg Beaters), .25 cup
    * *A1 steak Sauce, 1 tbsp
    * Lea & Perrins, Worcestershire Sauce, 3 tsp

Directions

Chop mushrooms in food processor. Mix meat, mushrooms, onion, green pepper, egg, oats, both sauces, and .25 of tomato sauce together. Save the rest of the tomato sauce to go on top. Spray pan with spray oil and put in pan. Cook at 400 degrees for one hour. Take out top with remaining tomato sauce and cook for 15 to 20 minutes more.

  • My husband begged me to save this recipe because he said it was one of his favorite meals we have had together. I don't like cooked bell peper, so I substitueded some yellow squash I had on hand. So moist and flavorful! - 11/3/11
