Introduction

A delicious and satisfying low calorie treat. Quark is a dairy product kind of like creme fraiche, often used in German cheesecakes. It is smoother than ricotta. You can substitute greek yogurt and still get the same effect. A delicious and satisfying low calorie treat. Quark is a dairy product kind of like creme fraiche, often used in German cheesecakes. Ingredients

    1 peach, sliced
    2 TBSP quark
    1 tsp agave nectar

Directions

Makes 1 serving

1. Slice peach and arrange on plate.
2. Stir the quark to smooth it out and put a small dollop on each slice (about a half teaspoon).
3. Drizzle agave nectar over the top. You don't need much but the dairy and the agave nectar really bring out the flavor of the peach. This dessert feels decadent but is low fat and low calorie.

I just made a traditional Quark Casserole with peaches. My husband said mmm, it tastes like dessert. It was yummy but when I put it in the calculator it came out to 700 cals a servings. Yikes! I will try out yours. We used to eat quark back home a lot and I will try yours out immediately. - 8/5/11
