Introduction

This classic comfort dish is great during those cold winter nights. I've perfected this dish over the years and come to the conclusion, the more simple it is..the better. Enjoy! Ingredients

    1 Pkg. (16oz) uncooked egg noodles
    4 chicken thighs or 2 to 3 large chicken breast, skin on with bone
    1 to 2 Tbs butter (optional)
    2 cans of Chicken Broth (14.5 oz each)
    Water
    1 chicken bouillon cube

    *Healthier version: Substitute reduced sodium chicken broth, omit the butter and use yolk free egg noodles

Directions

1. Place chicken in large pot and cover with water to cover chicken about 2 inches above chicken. Season with salt. and chicken bouillon cube. Bring chicken to boil and boil uncovered for 30 minutes.

2. Remove chicken from water (that has now become chicken broth) and set aside chicken to cool.

3. Meanwhile add the 2 cans of chicken broth; bring to boil. Add uncooked noodles and cook according to pkg. directions. Broth will reduce down considerably leaving a delicious flavored noodle dish. Add chicken back to pot. Season with more salt and pepper to taste and butter. (If you want a more soupy dish, add more cans of chicken to broth in step 2..
