Introduction

This is a modified version of the recipe that my mom made when I was a kid. It still has a load of sodium, but I haven't figured out how to lower that just yet.

This goes well on a Salad or to dip chips in (I generally crush up chips and put them in with a salad)

Ingredients

    2 cans - Black Beans
1 bottle - Fat Free Thousand Island dressing
    1 can - Mushrooms
    1 package - Ground turkey

Directions

Use either a large frying pan or a large pasta pot (Depending on how messy you are you may want to have the higher sides. I know I need them!)

~ Cook the turkey meat until browned
~ While you are waiting for the turkey to brown you can drain the juice from the mushrooms and black beans
~ Once the turkey meat is browned dump in the can of mushrooms and begin to brown those
~ After the mushrooms have begun to heat dump in the black beans and begin to stir them in.
~ While stiring in the black beans begin to pour in the 1000 Island (this is where it gets messy)
~ After it is well mixed you can cover it and let it heat up for about 10 minutes (make sure to stir it occasionally)

Depending on your serving sizes you should be able to feed 5-6 adults with this. (When I was growing up this fed 2 adults and 4 kids with maybe 1 serving of leftovers) I get at least 5-6 meals out of it.
