Introduction

These cookies are low calorie and surprisingly very healthy. These cookies are low calorie and surprisingly very healthy.
Number of Servings: 15

Ingredients

    1 C Rolled Oats
    2 Medium super ripe bananas
    1/3 C raisins, not packed
    1/4 C Chocolate Chips (optional)
    1/4 - 1/3 C home made apple sauce (no sugar added)
    Dash of Vanilla Extract (apprx 1 tsp)
    1 tsp brown sugar, unpacked (optional)

Directions

Preheat oven to 350F

To make HomeMade Apple Sauce -
Peel and cut one small apple into small chunks, place in sauce pan with enough water to just cover the bottom, boil on medium heat until all water is evaporated and apples are soft. Transfer to a small bowl and with fork, smash. Add a small amount of water for desired consistency.

Smash bananas then add apple sauce, mix well. Add oats, mixing well. Add remainder of ingredients and let sit for 15 mins.
Spoon out batter into small flat round cookie shapes onto a greased cookie sheet( apprx table spoon per cookie) These cookies will not rise, shape accordingly.

Place cookies in oven for 18-20 mins, until brown on bottom.

Makes 15 cookies.

    Very Good
    I added craisins and nuts instead of raisins and chocolate chips, and used a bit of coconut oil. I just pressed them into a cake pan and cut them into bars. - 5/21/13
