Introduction

Easy and delicious! TONS of sodium though, so if lowering salt intake is a huge part of your healthy lifestyle don't make this one. You can cut down on the sodium by using no-salt-added tomatoes, and you could probably lower fat by using turkey pepperoni. I haven't tried it that way yet, though. Easy and delicious! Ingredients

    Tomato sauce:
1 can diced tomatoes with basil, garlic and oregano added
    1 can tomato sauce, plain
    1/2 cup chopped green pepper
    1/2 cup water
    2 t dried basil
    2 t dried oregano
    1t onion powder

1 box (14.5 oz) whole wheat pasta
1 bag (16oz) shredded mozzarella cheese
    About 45 slices of pepperoni

Directions

Start by preparing the tomato sauce. Add the cans of tomato, the water, the green pepper, and the seasonings, and cook for around 20 minutes or until sauce thickens. Then, boil pasta until tender and drain. Mix drained pasta, tomato sauce, and pepperoni in a 13x9 baking dish. Top with mozzarella and bake at around 375 degrees for about 20 minutes or until cheese is browned. Makes about 8 servings.
