Ingredients

    1 bunch of asparagus
1/2 tsp extra virgin olive oil
1 to 2 Tbsp balsamic glaze to taste (you can find it at specialty Italian stores if your grocer doesn’t carry it.)
sea salt and fresh ground pepper
    4oz of Prosciutto

Directions

Preheat the oven to 425 degrees.

In a large bowl, toss the spears in the oil and the balsamic glaze. Season with salt and pepper. Be careful not to overdo the salt. The prosciutto is salty. Let the seasoned asparagus sit for 10 minutes.

Cut the prosciutto in half width-wise. Wrap each piece of asparagus with half a slice of the prosciutto.

Lay the spears in a single layer on a medium nonstick baking sheet. Bake them for 4 minutes, flip them, and continue baking until the spears are crisp-tender, 3 to 6 minutes depending on thickness. Season to taste. Serve immediately.

Makes 4 servings.
