Introduction

This is a family favorite that you will fall in love with. Great to enjoy on cold nights in the fall or winter. This is a family favorite that you will fall in love with. Great to enjoy on cold nights in the fall or winter.

Ingredients

    1 package of Eckrich skinless original sausage
    1 head of green cabbage
    6 Tbsp of light butter
    8 red potatoes
    6 Tbsp vegetable oil or olive oil
    Jiffy cornbread mix (prepared)
    1/2 - 1 cup of water

Directions

-Put oil in a large deep skillet pan, put on medium temp
-Cut up sausage into slices and put in pan with oil
-Cut up potatos with skin on into about a 1 inch size and put into pan (stir)
-add up to 1 cup of water (your preference on how much juice you want with the dish) I usually add a cup
-Cover pan with lid and allow to cook until the potatoes are soft stirring frequently (about 10 minutes)
-Add torn up pieces of cabbage to the top of the potatos and sausage
-Add the 6 Tbsp of butter on top of the cabbage and cover pan
-Let it cook an additional 10-15 minutes stirring it all together about halfway through the cooking time

While this is cooking:
Prepare and cook per the instuctions on the box the Jiffy corn bread mix

This pan will make 5 servings
The cornbread makes 6 servings
