Ingredients

    770g lean steak mince
    6 rashers smoked back bacon, trimmed and chopped small
    1 medium onion chopped very small
    1 large carrot chopped very small
    2 sticks celery chopped very small
    approx 12 closed cup mushrooms sliced
    2 cloves garlic chopped very small
    approx 24 black olives sliced
    1 small glass red wine
    2 beef oxo cubes
    3 tablespoons tomato puree
    1 tsp bolognaise herbs

Directions

brown mince, onion & garlic in a large pan
add carrot, celery & bacon - cook for 2 minutes
mix oxo cubes, herbs, wine & puree with 1 pint boiling water
add to meat mix and bring to the boil
cook for half an hour
add mushrooms & olives
cook for half an hour
serve
