Ingredients
-
* *Urad Dal, .5 cup
* *Lundberg Wild Blend Brown Rice-1/2 cup cooked(1/4 dry), 4 serving
* Salt, 1 tsp
"I cant believe its not butter" spray (0 calories)
Baking soda
Directions
Soak the rice and dal in water for 2-3 hours and then blend till it forms a crepe batter consistency. I make them immediately or wait for the batter to settle.
Then use the special pan used for them. you can also use the skillet called "Danish Aebleskiver Pan". it is the same.
Spray some butter on the heated skillet and pour a tablespoon of batter in each hole and then cover with a lid. After a minute, when the side turns brown, flip with a spoon. if the other side is done, this should be easy and it should just turn over easily. After browning on the other side, these are ready to be served with any kind of chutney, ketchup or eaten plain.
you can add any kind of vegetables , onions, ginger garlic to the batter to give an extra zing:)
Enjoy!!
The pan can be found in any Chinese market or Indian store or can be ordered on amazon. Just look for the Danish Aebleskiver Pan.
