Ingredients

2 cups whole wheat flour
3/4 cup organic cane sugar
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
1 1/2 cups fresh blueberries
1/3 cup butter, softened
8 oz light cream cheese, softened
3/4 cup skim milk
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Directions
1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
2. Combine flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, ground cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves in a bowl, stirring to mix. Make a well in centre of mixture.
3. Place butter and cream cheese in a medium bowl; beat with a mixer at high speed 1 minute or until blended. Add milk, eggs, and vanilla to butter mixture; beat to combine. Add butter mixture to flour mixture; stir just until moist. Gently fold in blueberries. Batter will be quite thick, the consistency of cookie batter.
4. Spoon batter into 14 muffin cups. Bake at 425 degrees for 15 minutes. Cool on a wire rack.
