Introduction
I wanted TUNA CAKES tonight. However, I'm on a cleanse where I can't eat flour, bread, dairy... so I browsed the recipes on here and kind of made one up of my own. Oats are allowed on the cleanse in limited quantities. I wanted TUNA CAKES tonight. Ingredients
-
* Tuna, Canned in Water, 1 can drained
* Quaker Large Flake OATS, 0.375 Cup
* Onions, raw, 0.5 cup, chopped
* Garlic, 1 clove
* Lime Juice, 1 lime yields
* Egg, fresh, 1 large
& whatever seasonings you like.
Directions
Put oats in a food processor and pulverize into a coarse flour (very coarse, I still have noticable pieces of oats but I like it) of your desired consistency.
Spray a small frying pan and sautee garlic and onion.
Mix everything together and form into 4 patties.
Spray a larger frying pan and lightly fry the patties on both sides until they are warm inside.
A home made pico de gallo would go really nicely on top of these...
