Introduction

Ingredients

    1 medium orange, halved
    1 cup raisins
    1 cup (5 oz) chopped walnuts
    2/3 cup butter
    1 1/2 cups packed brown sugar
    2 1/2 cups Wheat Montana Prairie Gold Whole Wheat Flour
    3 tsp baking powder
    1 tsp salt
    2 eggs, beaten
    1/2 cup milk

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 375 F. Squeeze juice from orange. Set juice aside.
2. Grind the rest of the orange and raisins with coarse blad.
3. In a large bowl, combine butter with sugar and flour to make a crumbly mixture.
4. Remove 2 cupps flour ixture; press into bottom of 13-by-9 inch baking pan.
5. Stir baking powder and salt into rest of flour mixture.
6. Combine eggs, milk and orange juice; stir. Pour into flour mixture along with raisin mixture; mix well.
7. Pour over cookie layer i baking pan. Bake 30-35 minutes, or until golden-brown.
8. Let cool completely in pan; Cut into 32 bars.
