Introduction
I took the typical traditional recipe and made it faster, easier, and taste much better. My kids LOVE it and beg me to make it often! Everyone who has ever tried it absolutely loved it! Yummy! Ingredients

8 cups cold water
1 lb. pkg dry lentils
1 14.5oz. can tomatoes, diced
2 Tbsp. apple cider vinegar
1 cup raw carrot slices
1/2 tsp. dried oregano (crush in palm to release flavor)
3 Tbsp. dried parsley
1/8 tsp. garlic powder
1 Tbsp. dehydrated onion flakes
2 1/2 tsp. salt (I use sea salt)
1/4 tsp. black pepper
Directions
This is so EASY! Rinse the lentils and throw them in a big pot with everything else. Bring it all to a boil and then put the lid on and lower it to as low as possible. Set the timer for 45 minutes. Now-FORGET ABOUT IT! (Just check the burner for safety every now and then. I use gas heat.) After letting it simmer for 45 minutes, take the lid off and smell. You will be amazed! You'll feel like you're cheating . Enjoy!
