Introduction

A variation of apple crisp. A variation of apple crisp.
Number of Servings: 6

Ingredients

    4 cups sliced apples or pears, peeled and sliced
    3/4 cup packed brown sugar
    1/2 cup rolled oats
    1/2 cup all purpose flour
    1/3 cup butter
    2/3 cup rice milk (or regular milk)
    1 large egg
    1 tsp. vanilla extract
    1 tsp. ground cinnamon
    1 Tbsp. cocoa

Directions

Grease 8 inch pan with butter, preheat oven to 350F
1. Arrange fruit in a 8 inch pan.
2. Mix flour, oats, sugar and butter in bowl until it resembles coarse crumbs. Sprinkle over fruit.
3. In a small bowl, whisk together milk, egg and vanilla. Pour over crumb mixture. Sprinkle lightly with cinnamon and cocoa. Bake in a preheated oven for 45 minutes or until bubbly and the top is golden brown. Serve warm or at room temperature.
