Introduction

I saw this on Jacques Pepin's "Fast Food My Way." I am making up the actual measurements myself though, to keep this to a sane calorie count. (Plus, I only need enough to serve 2.) Ingredients

1/4 cup (roughly 4 good-sized) Calimyrna or Black Mission figs
8 walnut halves (one for each fig half)
    1 Tbsp. butter
    2 Tbsp. honey
    1 oz. white wine

Directions

Slice figs in half and nestle one walnut half into each one. Set aside. Melt butter in small frying or saute pan. Add honey and white wine and stir to combine. Add figs with their walnut halves and simmer, covered, until tender, about 3-5 minutes. Serve at room temperature, garnished with fresh blueberries or a dollop of Greek yogurt and any remaining sauce spooned on top.
