Introduction

I recently fell in love with McDonald's Maple & Fruit Oatmeal. This is my home version...which I've made vegan by using almond milk. My version also has less calories, less fat, less sodium, less carbs, less cholesterol, more protein, more fiber AND tastes super fantastic. Ingredients

1/3 cup of dry old fashioned oats
1/2 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk
2 tsp dark amber agave nectar
    2 T pitted chopped dates
1 small apple, cored and chopped

NOTE: Feel free to substitute raisins for the dates and/or regular milk for the almond milk. McDonald's uses a combo of golden raisins and regular raisins mixed with apples.

Directions

Mix together oats, milk & agave in a microwave safe bowl. Microwave on high for approximately 1 minute. Stir, and if needed microwave for another 30-45 seconds. Top with chopped apples & dates. Enjoy!
