Ingredients
-
1/2 cup of old fashion oats
1/2 tspn of salt
1 tspn baking powder
2/3 cup of flour (I use whole wheat)
2 tbsp unsalted butter
1/2 cup of milk
Directions
Makes 2 large, 3 medium, or 4 small, depends how you divide the dough.
Pre-heat oven at 250ºC
Mix dry ingredients
Add butter and mix until it looks crumbly
Add milk and stir well, it must start looking doughy, now here, if you see the dough is too sticky you might want to add a little more flour
You can add any ingredients you want like raisins, cranberries, nuts, cheese if you want them salty, but the nutritional values may vary
spray some butter on a baking sheet
Form scones, as I said, 2, 3, or 4 small ones
Bake for about 12-15 minutes until golden...
Enjoy them while they're still warm!!!
