Introduction

Ingredients

    32 oz chicken broth
    1 C water
    1 tsp garlic
    1/2 Tbsp thyme
    1/2 Tbsp basil
    1/2 Tbsp cilantro
    2 bay leaves
    1/2 Tbsp ground pepper
    12 oz chicken breast
    1/2 C dried black eyed peas
    1 med onion, chopped
    20 oz potatoes, peeled and cubed
    10 oz carrots diced
    8 Tbsp sour cream or greek yogurt, not calculated into calories**

Directions

Fill slow cooker with broth, water and herbs. Add chicken, peas, barley then layer onion potatoes and carrots on top. Liquid should just cover the ingredients. Cover and cook 4-6 hours. Remove bay leaves and stir before serving.

Dollop with 1 Tbsp yogurt if desired.
