Introduction

Ingredients

1 cup rough chopped sweet red bell pepper
1 cup rough chopped onion
2 Tbsp. canola oil ~
3 1/2 cups small white beans
6 cups broth ~
1 cup frozen peas
1/2 pkg. Hillshire Kielbasa Lite Sausage chopped
3 Tbsp flour
Directions
Makes 6 servings, 2 cups each
Chop onion and red bell peppers, saute over medium high heat in 2 Tbsp. canola oil.
While cooking vegetable mixture, combine beans and broth in soup pot, and heat.
When vegetables are limp and browned (with a little black here and there) add to soup and continue heating. After transferring vegetables to soup, deglaze saute pan with some soup liquid.
When soup is almost to boil add flour combining with a bit of water to make a slurry and add to soup. As soup thickens slightly, add frozen peas and chopped sausage. continue heating until peas and sausage are heated through.
Serve.
