Introduction

my favorite granola recipe -- lots of nuts and fruit! my favorite granola recipe -- lots of nuts and fruit!
Number of Servings: 64

Ingredients

    7 cups oats
1 cup each rye, barley, and wheat flakes (can use oats instead)
1 cup soy flour (I couldn't find it so I used corn flour)
    1 cup wheat germ
    1 cup sunflower seeds
1 cup coconut (I added another)
    1 cup slivered almonds
    1 cup cashews
    1 cup pistachios
    1 cup pumpkin seeds
    1 cup pecans
    1 cup honey
    1/2 cup molasses
    1/2 cup maple syrup
    2 cups water
2 cups sesame seeds (I might leave these out, just because)
    1 cup flax seeds
    2 TBS vanilla
    1 cup dried apples
1 cup dried mango (cut up into bits)
    1 cup dried blueberries
    1 cup banana chips
    1 cup dried cranberries
1 cup dried mixed fruit (can just do cherries or something)
1 cup dried currants (or can do apricots, cut up)
1 cup golden raisins (or regular -- I don't really like raisins, so I use the golden ones)

Directions

Blend until smooth: honey, molasses, maple syrup, water, sesame seeds, flax seeds, and vanilla. Mix dry ingredients (nuts, oats, etc. -- not fruit!) together. Bake in two roasting pans at 180 F for 6 hours. Can stir while baking, but I don't usually. Put back in large mixing bowl and stir in fruit. Store, eat, and enjoy! Makes a LOT -- 64 1/2-cup servings! You can change the nuts/fruits to what you like. :)
