Introduction
A special request from my boyfriend. These are refreshingly light summer burgers, with a very satisfying crunch. A special request from my boyfriend. These are refreshingly light summer burgers, with a very satisfying crunch.Number of Servings: 4
Ingredients
-
- 4 Quarter pound beef patties
- 4 Hearts of Romaine lettuce leaves
- 2 oz colby cheese, sliced thin
- 4 Tsp Yellow mustard
- 1 tbsp light mayonnaise
- 1 roma tomato, sliced in thin rounds
Directions
Cook the burger patties on the stovetop or grill.
Cut the hard part of the stem off of the lettuce.
When the patties are nearly done, lay cheese slices atop each burger (if you're using pre-sliced cheese, this should be about 1/4 a slice per patty).
Slice each patty in half and stack on top of each other, so that you have a double-layer "half-moon" shape.
Assemble burgers atop lettuce leaves with tomatoes, mayonnaise, mustard, or any other condiments you'd like.
Fold up in the lettuce leaf. You can secure the roll with a toothpick if you'd like, or just consume immediately after eating.
