Ingredients

    3 TBSP oil
    Flaxseed Meal, 6 TBSP
Cheese: String; Precious All Natural, 9 serving
    Egg, fresh, 1 large (remove)
    Milk, nonfat, 1 TBSP
    Seasoning to taste

Directions

- Beat egg and pour into gladware dish 1 (no lid necessary)
- Add milk to eggs to thin
- Unwrap cheese sticks
- Fill gladware dish #2 with half of flaxmeal (will need lid later)
- Place cheese sticks in egg mixture and saturate completely
- Transfer cheese sticks from egg mixture to flax dish, place lid on dish and shake until covered
- Place breaded cheese sticks on cookie sheet
- After all cheese sticks have been through egg mixture and flax, place in flax dish again and add the remaining flaxmeal (this is called double breading and will make crispier cheese sticks)
- Place cookie sheet in freezer for at least 10 minutes (the longer the better). You will have better results if they are partially/almost frozen.
- Add oil to skillet (just enough to cover bottom of pan) and preheat on medium to high heat (be especially careful with olive and coconut oils as these heat VERY quickly) I use penut oil because it has a high smoke point.
- Place frozen breaded sticks in skillet and brown for 1-2 minutes per side
- Remove from pan and place on ceramic plate lined with paper towels and allow oil to drain and sticks to cool.
- Serve with 2 tablespoons Barilla Marinara sauce (optional)

** You can make this lower in fat by omiting the oil and baking them instead. It will save you 39.7 calories and 4.5 g of fat per serving.
