Introduction

This recipe was originally from the Fix-It and Forget-It Cookbook, however, I retooled this for a smaller crockpot, (approx. 4 quart, round slowcooker.) Number of Servings: 10

Ingredients

    1 medium onion, quarterd
    2 gloves garlic, minced
    2 large potatoes, peeled and quartered
    2 large carrots, peeled and cut into chucnks
    2.5 lbs corned beef brisket
    1 bay leaf
    1 cup water
    1 small head of cabbage, cut into wedges
    1 Tbsp. stone ground mustard
    1/2 cup brown sugar
    dash of ground cloves

Directions

1. Place the first 7 ingredients, (up until the cabbage,) in the slow cooker.
2. Cover and cook 5 hours on Low.
3. Add cabbage and continue cooking for an additional 2 hours on Low. (Do not over cook as the veggies may become mushy.)
4. In a small bowl combine mustard, brown sugar and ground gloves.
5. Stir in mixture and cook for an additional hour on Low.

Serving Size: Makes approx. 10 servings
