Introduction

Mash-up of two online recipes to mimic soy sauce flavor without the sodium-bomb - I didn't have the sodium-free beef bouillon that one recipe asked for but I did have the sesame oil the other mentioned. Number of Servings: 1

Ingredients

    2 tbsp sesame oil
    2 tbsp red wine vinegar
    1 tbsp molasses
    dash of black pepper
    dash of ground ginger
    dash of garlic powder
    3/4 cup water

Directions

Combine all ingredients in a saucepan and stir together. Bring to a boil and allow to boil for 5 minutes or until liquid is reduced to 1/2 cup. Can be refrigerated - needs to be stirred thoroughly before re-heating or using in a recipe.

Serving Size: Makes 1/2 cup
