Ingredients

One 14 oz. can of chickpeas, drained, rinsed and peeled
1/4 c. reserved liquid from chickpeas
    1-2 jalapeños, seeded and cored
    2 T. fresh lemon juice
    2 T sesame seeds
    1/2 T olive oil
    2 t. garlic, minced
    salt to taste
    1/2 c. cilantro

Directions

The most tedious task of this hummus is peeling the chickpeas. It makes the hummus so much creamier, it’s worth it.
Cut the jalapeños into small chunks and add to a blender or food processor along with the remaining ingredients.
Blend or process on high until hummus is smooth and creamy.
Refrigerate until serving.

    Incredible!
I used tahini instead of the sesame seeds. The jalapenos and cilantro add a delicious kick! - 4/14/11
