Introduction

Makes 8-10 good portions which are tasty and filling. Makes 8-10 good portions which are tasty and filling.

Ingredients

    1.67 lbs lean ground beef
    .34 lb breakfast sausage
    2 Large Eggs
    1/4 Cup whole wheat flour
    1/4 cup whole wheat matzo meal
    1/2 cup salsa

    1 cup chopped onion (optional)

Directions

Mix all ingredients together - and then make your burgers.

I cooked in a covered skillet on Med-High until I could see the tops changing color. Then I flipped them and turned the burner off and allowed them to set. My electric stove stays hot for several minutes allowing additional cooking time without burning.

You can simmer in gravy if desired but be sure to add the extra calories!
