    1 package elbow macaroni
    2 T. olive oil (or other vegetable oil)
    1.25 or 1.5 lbs. ground beef, turkey or chicken
    12 oz. tomato paste
    15 oz. can diced tomatoes
    1 tsp. oregano
    1 T. dried onion flakes
    1/2 tsp. garlic powder
    2 T. sherry or red wine


Cook pasta according to package directions; drain. Cook meat until no longer pink.

Add oil to pasta, stir well and add to slow cooker. Add meat and all other ingredients. Stir well. Cover and cook on Low 4-6 hours (or High 2-3 hours).

Add Parmesan cheese when serving.
