Ingredients

    1.2 lb of Ground Turkey (93% lean)
    2 medium red potatoes (cut into small cubes)
    1. 5 cups of chopped onions
    1 large chopped tomato
    2 jalapeƱp peppers, seeded
    Cumin powder
    Garlic Powder
    Salt

Directions

1. Using non-stick spray fry the ground beef in a pan and season meat w/salt, cumin and garlic powder (to taste).
2. After the meat is no longer red, throw in the small cubes of potato & onion. Add water if necessary (enough water to cook potatoes)
3. Add tomatoes about half way in
4. Let simmer until everything is fully coooked (about 15 to 20 minutes)

Makes 5 - 1 cup servings

    When I saw this recipe and saw that it was made with lean turkey, I couldn't believe it. Plus 1.5 cups of onion, I was like are you sure. Nonetheless I followed it as much as I could, except that I used 2 garlic cloves. Excellent! Taste just like 80% Chuck Beef. When do the peppers go in, though? - 7/10/08

    Incredible!
    This was really amazing! So filling and good! I filled 2 taco shells with one serving and added a little bit of fat-free sour cream. I felt completely full afterwards. - 11/16/10
