Ingredients
-
about 6 slices of whole wheat bread
about 2 cups of milk (I used 2% but you could use other)
about 4 tbls of cinnamon - or to taste
about 1 tbls vanilla extract, more or less to taste
about 8 tbls splenda (again you could use something else)
Directions
Preheat oven to 375'.
Tear bread into pieces and place in baking dish.
Add the vanilla extract to the milk and mix well.
Pour milk/vanilla mixture over bread and allow to soak for several minutes.
sprinkle with spenda and cinnamon.
Bake for about a half-hour or until browned on top and all liquid has been absorbed.
NOTE. I live at a high altitude so baking time may need to be adjusted at your elevation.
Serving Size: makes about 8 1/2 cup servings
