Ingredients

    1/2 cup Promise margarine
    1/2 cup granulated sugar
    1 1/2 cups flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 cup milk
    1 cup packed brown sugar
    2 cups cold water

Directions

Cream butter and sugar. Combine flour, baking powder and salt; add to creamed mixture with milk. Stir until smooth. Spread in a greased 8" square baking pan. Combine brown sugar and cold water; pour over batter. Bake in 350 degree oven for 60 minutes or until golden brown. Serve warm.
