Introduction

This makes the house smell so great when you bake it! Great alternative to store-bought cereal! You actually know what ingredients are in it! It'll keep for weeks in an airtight container! If you want to add more cocoa to actually taste the chocolate, go for it otherwise it's a great added antioxidant! You can also fold in seeds after it's cooked as well. Ingredients

    4 cups oats
    1 cup sliced almonds
    1/4 cup brown sugar
    1 1/2 Tbsp cinnamon
    3/4 Tbsp cocoa (optional, or increase amount)
    1/2 cup real Maple Syrup
    2 Tbsp canola oil (or other vegetable oil)
    1/3 cup raisins

Directions

Preheat oven to 375F
In a large bowl, mix the first 5 ingredients together.
Add the maple syrup and oil; mix thoroughly.
Spread out onto greased cookie sheet or deeper flat-bottomed pan.
Bake 25-35 min stirring at 15 min mark. It will be done when it's golden brown and when you can smell it!
Fold in raisins and allow to cool before putting into airtight container.
