Introduction

Very simple way to prepare beets. My garden is bursting with sage right now so I added some fresh sage in the last part of roasting and it paired nicely. Very simple way to prepare beets. Ingredients

3 beets washed, peeled and cubed (300grams)
    1 Tbsp olive oil
1/4 tsp kosher salt (or to taste)
    black pepper to taste
    3 leaves fresh sage diced
water to put in bottom of pan

Directions

Preheat oven to 400 degrees

Place beets in shallow roasting, toss with olive oil, salt and pepper. Add enough water to cover bottom of dish. I used a 7x11 glass casserole dish.

Roast beets for 25 minutes. Then add sage and if needed add a little more water. Roast another 5-10 minutes.

These are great right out of the oven or to save for later to add to your favorite green salad.

    Very Good
I just wash and cut beets in half (if large) and place them in a large cooking glass. When done, after they cool, they are quite easy to peel off outer skin. Can quarter onions and add along with the beets. Olive oil, but no other seasonings needed. (Cover w/ foil while cooking.) - 9/8/12
