Ingredients

    1 1/4 cup flour
    3/4 cup sugar
    1/2 tsp baking soda
    1/2 tsp salt
    1 tbsp cocoa powder
    3/4 cup vegetable oil
    1/2 cup buttermilk (or 1/2 cup normal milk w/ 1/2 tsp lemon juice or vinegar)
    1 egg
    1 tbsp red food coloring
    1/2 tsp white vinegar
    1 tsp vanilla

Directions

Combine dry ingredients in one bowl and wet ingredients in another.

While mixing, gradually add dry ingredients to wet until just combined.

Fill cupcake liners.

Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes.
