Ingredients

    1 lb ground meat.
    1 8oz pkg light cream cheese, cubed
    salt
    1/2 cup chopped onion
    1/2 cup chopped green peppers (optional)
    1/4 cup water.
    1/2 tsp oregano
    2 eggs beaten.
    3/4 cup flour
    3/4 cup 1% milk
    1 tbsp bread crumbs (optional. may also use cornmeal)
    1 medium tomato, chopped

Directions

brown meat, drain. add onions and peppers. cook until tender. add d ream cheese and water. stir over low heat until cheese is melted. stir in seasonings. combine eggs, flour, salt and milk; beat until smooth. pour into greased 9" pie pan. sprinkle with bread crumbs. sppon meat mixture over batter. bake at 400 degrees for 35 minutes. top with tomatoe. variation: add 4 oz can chopped green chili peppers, drained, to meat mixture
