Introduction

This makes A LOT of food. We have a large family and love leftovers. Scale back as needed. This makes A LOT of food. We have a large family and love leftovers. Scale back as needed.
Number of Servings: 24

Ingredients

    Veggies:
Garlic - 5 cloves (or to your taste)
    1 small sweet onion
    1 medium green bell pepper
    1 small yellow squash
    1 small zucchini
    Canned:
    Your favorite pasta sauce
    Fire Roasted tomatoes (16 oz)
1 can tomato paste (if needed)
1 can tomato sauce (if needed)
Your favorite red wine - I like Barefoot Merlot, it's cheap.
Two 14oz packages of thin speghetti, whole grain.

Directions

Brown the italian sausage, drain the meat when you're done, so you don't have greesy sauce.
Sautee the veggies in a tbs of olive oil until they are tender.
Add the pasta sauce and the wine. Bring to a boil, then lower temperature to a simmer. If it appears thick, add the tomato sauce, if too thin, add some tomato paste.
Let the sauce simmer at least one hour so that all the yummy goodness is mixed in. The longer the better.
Make your speghetti according to the package directions, and serve up! Freeze sauce for later consumption.

When adding this to your spark points, make sure you add your pasta separately!

Serving Size: This sauce makes 24 1 cup toppings to your pasta.
