Introduction

Sweet, tangy and spicy, these are a snap to put together and make for a fast, inexpensive but flavourful meal. Sweet, tangy and spicy, these are a snap to put together and make for a fast, inexpensive but flavourful meal.
Number of Servings: 4

Ingredients

    Orange zest, 1 tbsp (optional)
    Orange juice, 1/2 cup
    Honey, 1/3 cup
    Hot pepper flakes, 1/2 tbsp (if you want less heat, use roasted red pepper flakes instead, or omit)
    Salt, 1/4 tsp
    Black pepper, 1 pinch
    Chicken drumsticks, 8, skin removed (if your drumsticks aren't skinless, just grab the skin with paper towel and remove it yourself)

Directions

Preheat oven to 400F.
Combine orange zest & juice, honey, pepper flakes, salt and pepper. (If you have time, marinate the chicken in sauce for an hour in the fridge, but it won't suffer if you don't).
Arrange chicken in non-stick or sprayed baking dish. Pour marinade over top, turn to coat.
Place chicken in oven for 25-30 minutes, basting occasionally and turning once, til chicken is golden and juices run clear when pierced. Sauce should thicken slightly.

Serving Size: Makes 4 (2-drumstick) servings

    Me and my family loved it very yummy just next time I'd thicken up the sauce all bit so it sticks to the chicken alil better but really a great dish. Thanks!
