Introduction

I use this stuffing for porkchop, but the fruit can be changed to meet the needs of any protien including Thanksgiving dinner. I use this stuffing for porkchop, but the fruit can be changed to meet the needs of any protien including Thanksgiving dinner.

Ingredients

    4 slices whole grain bread, Cubed
    8 oz Italian Turkey sausage
    1/3 cup minced onion
    3 TBSP Unsweetened applesauce
    3/4 cup Chicken Broth
    1/4 cup chopped dried apricot
    1 apple, diced
    1/2 tsp Thyme
    1 tsp Rosemary
    1/2 tsp Sage

Directions

Preheat the oven to 350*. Spread the cubed bread onto a baking pan and toast. Meanwhile brown the sausage in a skillet with the onion and seasoning. Allow to cool slightly. After bread is toasted combine all ingredients. Use to stuff various proteins or bake in a dish alone. If not using for protein more apple sauce or Broth will be needed. Bake for 30-45 minutes until dry.
