    2/3 pound lean ground beef
    1/3 pound ground pork (can use turkey)
    1 egg
    1/2 c chopped onion
    3 t chopped garlic
    3 T barbeque sauce
    2 T A1 Steak Sauce
    1/2 C italian seasoned bread crumbs
    salt & pepper to taste


I find it helpful to saute the onions in a little olive oil to soften-you can grate them or mince finely to avoid this step. Also, break egg in separate container and whisk before adding to meat mixture. Combine all ingredients well, then shape into loaf on a sheetpan sprayed with non-stick spray. You can use a loaf pan, but I find that the fat just puddles up around the meatloaf. Bake at 400 degrees for 45 minutes.

    I made this tonight for dinner and we really enjoyed it. My husband asked for seconds AND wanted to make sure we had leftovers for dinner tomorrow and he is the pickiest eater I know. Will definitely make this again! Thanks Cindy! - 11/8/09
