Ingredients

    24 oz. ground round
    1/2 large onion, chopped
    2 large cans dark red kidney beans, drained and rinsed
    one large can tomato puree
    two large cans petite diced tomatoes
    3 tbs. chili powder
    1 tsp crushed red pepper (or more to taste)
    1 tsp coarse Kosher salt (or more to taste)

Directions

brown meat and onion together in a large skillet. Add to crock pot along with the other ingredients and spices. Cook on low for 8 hours or more if time permits. Serve piping hot with crackers, chopped onions, or cheese (but be sure to add the calories!).
